LOOK: Members of the Brevard Public Schools Board visited Astronaut High School for a trades tour to learn about their courses in digital media, nursing and welding.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Members of the Brevard Public Schools Board visited Astronaut High School for a trades tour to learn about their courses in digital design, nursing and welding.

The BPS Trades Tour includes dates to highlight all of Brevard Public Schools’ remaining high schools in the coming weeks.

The Careers Tours have been a big hit with parents, students, and community members, as they highlight some of the unique opportunities students have inside the BPS to learn career skills as they are preparing to enter the labor market and/or continue their education to the next level. .

Last month, via Space Coast Daily TV, more than 25,000 viewers watched students engage in welding, tuning cars, calibrating boat engines and even working on jet planes.

Tuesday’s Satellite High School BPS Careers Tour was led by BPS Superintendent Dr. Mark Mullins who was very pleased to see all of the programs the school had to offer.

The next stop on the BPS Trades Tour will take place on April 7 at Cocoa High School. Stay tuned for full coverage on Space Coast Daily TV.
