Senior Digital Media Planner – Cynopsis Media

Situation Group, a leading digital marketing agency for entertainment, media and mission-driven brands, is seeking a full-time Senior Digital Media Planner with 3-5 years of experience. The Senior Digital Media Planner will manage the digital media strategy for our arts and entertainment clients, including Broadway shows, arts and culture, and attractions. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly collaborative and possesses expert communication skills. This role develops and executes digital media plans based on client objectives in collaboration with our internal team members. You will also work with vendors and partners, as well as our media buying team to optimize your media campaigns and ensure delivery. The ideal candidate will be able to perform an in-depth and expert analysis of campaign progress as well as communicate this information in a clear and easy-to-understand report for clients. We are also looking for someone who knows the budget and can ensure their campaigns run at maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create media strategies and tactical plans that meet client objectives
  • Spend the customer’s money as if it were your own. Take great care and take pride in ensuring that every dollar is spent to the best of your ability
  • Identify opportunities to increase media spend by maximizing existing efforts or introducing new ideas into an existing campaign that would result in increased media budget
  • Engage with media buyers as partners. Work together to determine optimizations and additional dollar recommendations that would benefit the client
  • Anticipate client questions and needs when writing thought-provoking and digestible key information for media stories
  • Collaborate with client services and creative team members within the SBU and find compromises as needed to ensure the team feels we are providing the best possible service to the client
  • Actively seek new vendors and identify opportunities that make sense for the agency and for specific clients. Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors while pursuing unique offerings, new placements and capabilities, and the most competitive pricing
  • Take great pride in managing budgeting and invoicing by being accurate and timely with Advantage work and AMP management
  • Provide internal thought leadership through media Monday articles and information sharing in media team meeting and communication channels
  • Maintain a high level of familiarity with creating maps in DOMO
  • Identify issues and signal when a process needs to be reviewed. Suggest ways to streamline processes and correct inefficiencies
  • Oversee new vendor sourcing: schedule regular discovery calls with potential partners, identify account-specific applications, and escalate this information to the team as needed
  • Demonstrate initiative by actively engaging with resources provided by Google, Adswerve, and Facebook to not only learn more and apply these advances to clients’ work, but also to share these learnings with the team
  • Identify if necessary and develop multimedia POV documentation for customers
  • Contribute to new business inquiries when asked for presentations requiring tactical media recommendation
