LG Electronics, Blackdove Partner for Digital Art Experience

LG Electronics has entered into a global partnership with Blackdove, an art company, to deliver digital art experiences on LG’s digital signage displays, according to a company press release.

Incorporating software and curated artwork from Blackdove’s digital art gallery and non-fungible token platform, LG’s customizable display solutions will provide a way to showcase digital art.

LG’s digital displays have been seen in corporate lobbies, galleries, luxury residences and other public places. LG DVLED signage solutions offer flexibility with modular, scalable designs and picture quality with resolutions ranging from Full HD to 8K.

“LG is thrilled to partner with Blackdove to engage our DVLED signage customers with digital art experiences,” Dan Smith, vice president of business development, LG Business Solutions USA, said in the release. “Our alliance with Blackdove will provide next-generation tools that enable countless new methods of creative expression. Blackdove breaks the mold with innovative ways to source and display artwork using cutting-edge LG technologies. “

Slated to be available in the US starting this quarter, Blackdove curation software can be paired with LG DVLED signage products, including LG Ultimate Business Display, LG LSCA/LSCB, LG 136-inch All-in-One and fine-pitch DVLED signaling. Chosen by Blackdove, the exhibits include the work of artists such as Jonathan McCabe, Kenneth Wayne, Meghan Cheng, Franck Lefebvre and Jamie Scott.

“We are delighted to have been selected by such an amazing partner as LG,” said Marc Billings, CEO of Blackdove, in the statement. “Digital art is the first art form in history that can be experienced natively by the entire world in an instant, giving it universal appeal. This allows for an exponential increase in both quantity and diversity of art, as well as a path towards universal access to the enjoyment and ownership of art at an affordable price.”
